Sandi Smalley

Sandi Smalley

Sandi Smalley moved to San Antonio from Port Lavaca in 2004 to attend UTSA. She pursued a degree in Kinesiology in hopes of one day becoming a physical therapist. After completing her third year of college she found out that she was soon going to become a mother. Shortly after this surprising news, her life completely changed. She was not only going to be a mom, but she came to Pressing On for a job interview for the receptionist position. She was unaware as to what type of facility it was until arriving that day. Pressing On explained to her what they did and she could not have been more touched. She says being a part of this group of people has changed her life so much. For the longest time she has had a heart to touch people, care for them, and let them know they are a blessing. So, in her eyes, physical therapy seemed like the choice for her, until she came to Pressing On. Her direction has since shifted. She is currently an Assistant Trainer and plans to become a trainer after she graduates. She has seen so many lives changing in this place from the time she walked in. Physical Therapy is no longer what she has in mind; she plans to devote herself to Spinal Cord Injury Recovery.
