Functional Electrical Stimulation Bicycle (FES RT 300-S)


FES is a technique which utilizes electrical stimulation under computer control to elicit purposeful movements in paralyzed muscles. The RT 300-S is a special exercise bicycle hooked up to a functional electrical stimulation system (FES). It uses sticky pads which are attached to muscles that deliver little electrical jolts through the skin, stimulating the persons legs to push the pedals.
